Three 12 year olds receive technology from another planet that was supposed to be for an alien (disguised as an old guy called Copernicus who continuously tries to steal it all). The teenagers must avoid him in order to save the world from an alien invasion.

Near a small English village, a scientific team is conducting experiments with magnetic fields, the results of which may have military applications but the intensification of which seem to be connected to UFO reports, a series of murders, an enormous insect egg, and a strange visitor with exceptional scientific knowledge.

Scientists discover a formula giving access to the fourth dimension - the unification of time and space - and, with others, are transported to the abstractly arid Planet X.
